Fees

All fees are communicated before any appointment is booked. There are no hidden charges, and fees are the same whichever of our psychiatrists you see.

Additional costs, including for clinical reports or extended consultations, are discussed and agreed in advance. All fees are published in accordance with CMA guidance on healthcare pricing transparency. For a detailed breakdown, see our guides to what a private ADHD assessment in Scotland costs and includes and what a private autism assessment in Scotland involves.

Appointments

* A previously diagnosed ADHD review is suitable where your original diagnosis was made to an acceptable clinical standard. If your psychiatrist has concerns about the original assessment, a fresh assessment may be needed, offered at a reduced fee. Read more about this.

Prescriptions & letters

Why ADHD prescriptions cost slightly more. ADHD medicines are controlled drugs and, by law, must be issued on official controlled-drug prescription forms that we have to purchase from the NHS. That additional cost (not a charge for having ADHD) is what makes these prescriptions slightly more expensive. They are also signed on paper, as the law requires, and posted to you by Royal Mail Tracked 24 to help ensure timely delivery.

Payment. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your slot. If you need to cancel or reschedule, refunds are issued in line with our cancellation policy. We invoice through Semble Pay (secure online card payment) and also accept direct bank transfer.

Cancellations. We ask for at least 48 hours' notice if you need to reschedule or cancel. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be charged at the full appointment fee.

Insurance. We do not currently bill insurance companies directly. You are welcome to submit invoices to your insurer for reimbursement.
