Welcoming Dr Abderahman Kamaledeen to Caledonian Psychiatry
Published 26 July 2026 · by Dr David Crocker, Founder & Medical Director
We are delighted to introduce the newest member of our clinical team. Dr Abderahman Kamaledeen, Associate Specialist Psychiatrist (BSc, MBBS with Distinction, MRCPsych — GMC 7496971), joins Caledonian Psychiatry this August, seeing adults for ADHD assessment, medication review and general adult psychiatry.
Dr Kamaledeen trained in psychiatry on the Maudsley programme in London — one of the largest and best-known psychiatric training schemes in the world — and obtained membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2025. Since late 2025 he has been building substantial experience in private psychiatry at another leading private practice in Edinburgh, with a particular focus on neurodiversity. Diagnosed with ADHD himself during his years as a junior doctor, he brings a first-hand understanding to adults making sense of a late diagnosis. He is also happy to offer consultations in Arabic where patients prefer it.
His patients rate him highly: in his most recent CARE Measure audit he scored a mean of 4.91 out of 5.0 against a published normative median of 4.67, with 91.8% of all ratings “Excellent”.
“I have worked alongside Dr Kamaledeen and seen the care he takes with every patient. He shares the values this practice was built on — thorough, evidence-based assessment and genuine attention to the person in front of him — and I am delighted to welcome him to Caledonian Psychiatry.”

Appointments from Tuesday 11 August
Dr Kamaledeen holds clinics on Tuesday afternoons, by secure video, with his first appointments available from Tuesday 11 August 2026. He sees adults for ADHD assessment, medication review and general adult psychiatric assessment, with autism assessment following from September. Fees, standards and the clinical approach are the same whichever of our doctors you see, and your care stays with the same named psychiatrist from your first appointment onwards.
For ADHD assessments you can choose your psychiatrist when you book online. You can read more about Dr Kamaledeen — his background, approach and patient feedback — on his profile page, or book an appointment.
